The Beautiful Bed Company by Sweet Elle Handmade Furniture was founded out of a love for all things home. “We spend a third of our life in bed, so let's make every bedroom in America a beautiful sanctuary; a place that gives you a big warm hug at the end of a busy day; a room that provides peace and respite from our busy lifestyles.” Lisa is the Chief Creative behind The Beautiful Bed Company and has been passionate about design since she was a teenager. Born and raised in the United Kingdom, her family has been making English Chesterfield Sofas for more than 30 years, which fueled her appreciation for the art and heritage of traditional furniture making. Lisa believes that offering custom bedroom furniture enables the customer to create a space that uniquely fits their individual taste.

We are passionate about furniture making and playing our part in the Made in America movement. Remember when there were high streets with greengrocers, butchers, bakers and even some furniture makers – people who made things in their community – craftspeople who cared about what they made and knew their customers? We use locally sourced materials that are ethical and traceable. Every piece is finished by hand. Our Artisans are highly skilled and use traditional furniture making methods. The Beautiful Bed Company builds your furniture to order, to your custom size specifications, finish colors and custom hardware. We can offer this service at a fair price because we don't operate as a mass production facility. Each aspect of your furniture design and build can be customized to suit your vision. From a selection of sustainably harvested wood, hand carving of spindles and legs, though to building and finishing. We can finish your piece in a color from our color palette or a custom color you specify to compliment your existing decor. This handcrafted production timeline varies.
